Live scoring
Scores reach your leaderboard three ways: golfers enter them in the app, a group enters them from a link or its cart-sign QR code, or you type them in.
Golfers with the app
On event day, registered golfers tap Start round on the event page; once they have a card it reads My scorecard. After the event day it reads Enter my scores until your score deadline, then Scores closed.
No app needed: group links
On the scoring page, anyone in the cart taps a player, fills in each hole and taps Save. The row shows In once the card is done. Scramble-style team events get one shared card per team.
- Tap Play, then Pairings, and find Group scoring links.
- Tap Send each group its link. Golfers with an account get an in-app notice and an email; guests you added with an email get an email. Everyone else scans the QR code on their cart sign.
- Or tap Send each player their own card. Copy link and Copy all let you text links yourself.
No signal on the course
In the app, every score saves on the phone first and syncs when signal returns. A small pill shows Offline with how many scores are queued, then Syncing.
On a group link, a Save with no signal stays on the phone and the card says Saved on this phone - sends when you have signal. It sends once the phone is back online or the page is reopened, and never overwrites a newer score. Have groups open their link while they have signal.
Fix a score or enter a paper card
A volunteer added as a Scorer under People, then Staff, can enter anyone's scores but can't change settings or finalize. Team events with one shared card use Team scorecards instead. On Pro, Bulk import from CSV loads a whole sheet.
- Tap Play, then Enter scores.
- Tap a player's name to open their card.
- Type each hole under Front 9 and Back 9, and check Out, In and Total against the paper card.
- Tap Save.
Finalize the results
Group links then say scores are locked. To fix a real mistake, the event's owner can use Un-finalize event in the Danger zone of the event settings, then finalize again. Sent result emails are not taken back.
- On the event page, tap the status pill in the Event Details strip.
- Tap Finalize results at the bottom of the menu. It locks the leaderboard, payouts and result emails.
- Confirm. The message names any cards not yet attested.
Live scoring, group links and host score entry are free; Bulk import from CSV needs Pro, and cart signs with the QR code need Plus.
Your first event on The Perch is free.
