Questions commissioners ask.
Does everyone in the league need the app?
No. Nobody has to download anything. Each player needs a free Perch account to be on the roster and earn standings points, and it all works in any phone browser, Android included. On league night you can send each group a scoring link that anyone in the group can open without an account, or type scores in from paper cards. The iPhone app is simply the easiest way to score.
Do players pay to be in the league?
Only what you charge them. A Perch account is free for every player. If you take a season registration fee or a night's entry fee by card, Perch's fee is $4 or 5% of the payment, whichever is lower, and it is included in the price golfers see. Golfers pay it on the season fee, and on nightly fees you can choose to absorb it. Dues collected in cash and tracked on the roster cost nothing.
Can the standings go on our club's website?
Yes. Public and unlisted leagues get a standings page anyone can open, and you can embed the points table on your club's website with the snippet on that page. It updates each time you close out a night. Private leagues stay members-only.
